Woodswise said I should start a log and I have been amazed at the logs on here! I hope this is helpful and interesting and I hope I can learn things from those who read this.

This post is basic. Today is back day in just an hour so I will post that later.

For now:

The Bull is:

49 years
6'0
243lbs...down from when I registered cause my carbs are gettin cut
Bodyfat approx 12%
Arms: 20"
Chest 52"
Waist 36"
Quad: 27"
Calves suck

Diet is pretty clean:

Mostly lean beef, fish, green beans or asparagus, Olive Oil, potato, etc... just clean
Water is pretty much the only drink and is consumed constantly throughout the day

The Program right now is German Volume Training. We are in week 5.

This program basically consists of a major compound excercise done for 10 sets of 10 with 90 seconds rest between sets
After this excercises are 10-12 reps at one minute rest.
Total reps per session is either 236 or 272. accomplished within an hour.
Weights used are typically 60% of one rep max.

I welcome any questions or advice.

Back Day
Some of this will sound funny cause I'm not sure what to call what I did.

Exercise one: Hammer strength upright row. 150lbs in plates on it. Grip is in front above the head. It pulls down in an arc and ends up at your sides :)
10 reps 10 sets 90 seconds rest between sets.

Exercise two: The assisted pull-up. 80 lbs of assist. 10 reps...10 sets...90 seconds rest between sets.

Exercise three: Cybex seated row with 150lbs. 10 sets....10 reps...only 60 seconds rest between sets. (on the last set I went for 25 reps)

Total reps 316 completed in approx. 60 minutes. Shaking.

You notice this is a slight variation on what I described. We are changing it up a little and going harder.

Also...the exercises change every workout. For example the major compound movement last week was the Rack Pull

Also...there is a 3 minute rest between excercises. Time is kept for everything on a stop watch.

Legs tomorrow cause of the 4th.

Holy crap! You are a beast bro. Living up to your online name. I am definitely going to follow your journal and be inspired. My goal is to get my arms to where yours are in the next few years!

Nice log buddy, nice to see another 'older' person training hard on here.

Keep at it and keep up with the good work as hard effort always pays off in the long run MF.
