Got surgery to reattach my bicep which had completely come off 8 weeks ago. Was in a cast for 4 weeks, when I got it off got the devastating news that the broken bone from the first surgery had kept growing rapidly, through my muscle and fused into the bone in my upper arm. Had emergency surgery the next day to remove it. Here is my first time benching in 12 weeks, 200kg.

Just goes to show, have hope!! I had none till I realised I could bench today haha

Take it easy.i had surgery on my shoulder and eased back in to training.remember its much easier to re injure a pre existing injury especially if your been under the knife.

2 equally important things come to mind.

If you don't rush your comeback you'll have a long career ahead of you. If you do, then you just roll the dice..... I know it sucks, but be careful.

The second part...... and I like this one best..... good for you. Seriously. Good for you for not letting an injury get in your head and mess you up mentally. I've seen too many lifters get gun shy and turn to crap after an injury.

Glad to see you're not letting 'what ifs' stand in the way of your passion for training. Like all have mentioned, be smart brother but definitely some kudos to overcoming the injury and continuing on. Especially pushing that kind of weight
