Toowoomba man arrested for importing steroids

A TIP-OFF from customs officers has led to the arrest of a 27-year-old Toowoomba man on charges of importing testosterone.
Police raided the man's Harristown home yesterday morning.

Toowoomba Criminal Investigation Branch acting officer-in-charge Tony Morris said items including vials, packaging, labels and syringes were found in the home as well as testosterone.
Police will allege the man imported testosterone twice in the past several weeks.

They were informed by a referral from the Australian Customs and Border Protection Service.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Morris said the drug arrived in powdered form in Australia.

He said there was evidence the powder was being transformed into liquid form and bottled into vials.

The man was charged with two counts of importation of tier one goods without approval as well as one count each of possessing a dangerous drug, producing a dangerous drug and possessing

All the animals in Australia look like they are on steroids- you would think use would be encouraged as a means of survival. They are tough there.

Still the toughest customs in all the land there in Australia. I would imagine gear goes for a premium there. Anything illegal that needs to be imported. It's like Hawaii. Everything has to be broug.ht in. Gear and all other illicit drugs are more expensive on the street. No customs to deal with. I can only imagine the price of things in HI if there was customs to worry about. Bringing it from the Mainland has is being taxed like son of a gun.

Things are tough here. We've just had new legislation changes directed at steroids too which is hitting people a lot harder, now face one of the harshest charges above most narcotics in NSW.

More harsh than narcotics? Ain't that just ****ing sad! I tend to not say much on issues like this...illegal is illegal...but Jesus Christ....more harsh than narcs? Wtf?!
