Brother Lifters,

Cranked some new PR's at my last meet at the end of March:

Age 55 / 181 lb class

Bench (I suck at this one) - 260
Squat (getting there) -360
Dead (finally nailed this one) - 475

OK, I guess for an old dude.

Stay strong!

Congrats...... remember that Ernie Frantz hit all of his monster lifts in his late 50s and in to his 60s. You still have lots of life left in the sport and many more PRs to come.

Congrats on the PRs. Yeah, that's some great weight. I hope I'm competing when I'm in my 50s.

Thanks bros! Fired up for the next meet in November. Going to train like a beast. Hoping for a 500 dead, 400 squat and whatever the f@#& I can do on bench!

What do you stack with your geritol? :D

I have a friend in his mid 50's that still gets up on the platform. Puts up great numbers. He competes in single ply but his raw numbers are decent too. When he gets injured or beat up a little it takes him a bit longer to work his way back but the guy keeps plugging away.

Sometimes seeing you guys at that age still going at it reminds me of what a pussy I am sometimes when my hams are sore and I don't want to deadlift. Good reminder to shut up and just get in there and go!
