I've made a pact with a friend that we will pace each other for the 2014 Auckland marathon. Plan for the first part of 2014 is a few marathons to get back into the feel of the distance (first one is an off road one at the beginning of March), plus some half marathons to help dial in the speed.

Running has started to get back to a reasonable level, just need to increase the distances from now on in.

Well, after a pretty conservative and low volume start from now I feel like I can start cranking up the training volume providing my nutrition stays on point. Food has been good though, nice and varied and the lentil and bean curry I cooked for lunch today was beautiful.

I'm trialing a new electrolyte sports drink, it's vegan and 100% natural so I'm going to probably start stocking it in my shop. Tastes great and isn't at all sweet (which I like). Fruit intake today was 4 bananas, 3 nectarines, 1/2 watermelon and a large punnet of blueberries that I picked from our garden. AWESOME.

Good to see ya mf.

2.5 weeks ago my partner and I embarked on couch to marathon of sorts.
Having never run more than 5 maybe 6 miles at a time , EVER ,
I will be hopefully completing my first marathon October 6th
Right now it seems so out of reach, slowly running 3 or 4 miles at a time... But hey I'll trust the process ...

That food looks amazing!
We are buying a farm and I'm very anxious to have our own food here shortly .

Mini I'd love to learn more about the vegan lifestyle. Could you post a thread about what types of foods fit into the vegan category? And places to find recipes?

I'm going to miss seeing your weight training log, but I wish you the best o' luck in your running preparation. A massage therapist that I see every other week was a marathoner (24 in his lifetime), and I like to hear him talk about his experiences.
