49 years old and grew an inch over past 2 years in height

Taking 5 ius a day for about 2 years...had a physical and nurse says 6 ft 1
I said no way and got back under the measuring device since I have been a 6 foot zero since 20 years old...

Anybody else seen this before?

Sounds like BS to me. So if true, best not to tell it around.

If true, then maybe your growth plates never closed on your bones (whatever that means). . .

Was the exam in the morning? It's thought that the spinal disc heights are fuller in the morning and as we move throughout the day fluid "creeps" out. So you can be a couple cm's taller in the morning. Maybe those couple cm's put you over the 6'1" threshold? As mentioned above, your growth plates closed 30 years ago so I doubt you're going through a growth spurt.
