I decided to make a post to try and get this information in one spot. It seems there are a ton of posts that sometimes mention this topic. I am certain it isn't complete and others are welcome to add info to this list but, I figured this might be helpful/useful to many of you with concerns about your liver while on cycle and I suppose off.

Omega-3 Fatty Acids ( I already take these for my crazy high Triglycerides. I am switching to Nordic Naturals at Mini Forklift's advice. They are not made with the ethyl ester and instead use the Triglyceride ester which is the way it occurs naturally. )

Essentiale Forte - Polyenylphosphatidylcholine ( I am planning on using this one but, won't use the Choline if I use this. )

Methionine ( 2-amino-4-(methylthio)butanoic acid )( S-adenosyl-L-methionine (SAMe)

MSM - Methylsulfonylmethane ( Good for joints also, so it makes my list. )

R + Alpha Lipoic Acid ( Another one with other possible benefits. )

N-acetylcysteine ( Just test this one out first as some people seem to have some nasty side effects from it. Otherwise, looks good to me. )

Choline ( This one is a no brainer pun intended, since I feel it also has other possible benefits. )

Personally, I will be picking 4 of the top 5. I just haven't made up my mind between MSM or ALA. Anyway, that is my top 7 choices. It may not be yours but, I am listing what I think ( my opinion ) are the best for me to take. I am certainly no expert but, have read a bunch of info on this subject. Which a lot of it is B$ marketing crap!!! Hope this helps some Bro's out 8)

The following website IMO is some of the first things you can easily do to help with the toxicity level on the liver. So, I suggest the quick read that it is.
http://www.cncahealth.com/health-info/general/top-ways-protect-liver-health.htm

Liv 52, Livergen, Livokin, Octogen, Stimuliv and Tefroliv
http://www.biomedsearch.com/article...ty-six-polyherbal-formulations/221850579.html
Huge study and report on the above.

Liv-52
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16194047
But, it was conducted at the Tehran Hepatic Center. So, not sure about possible payoff etc.

Many of the following ( all part of the Liv-52 mix ) seem to have all the studies done in
the middle east. Which is where many of these plants are grown for sale. So, I'm taking
many of the studies with a grain of salt. Since, money rules everything 8/

Caperbush ( Capparis )
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/?term=Caper+Bush
Only one I could find that wasn't marketing crap.

Chicory ( Cichorium intybus )
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23603006
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21694986

Black Nightshade ( 3 versions!! )
Solanum americanum (American Black Nightshade) of much of North America
Solanum nigrum (European Black Nightshade) of Europe
Solanum ptychanthum (Eastern Black Nightshade) of the Caribbean region
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18606216
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18045581

Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India!!???!!! WTF

Yarrow ( Achillea millefolium )
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16619341

Tamarisk (50-60 species of flowering plants in the family Tamaricaceae!! )
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/?term=Tamarisk+Hepatoprotective

Glutathione
http://jn.nutrition.org/content/128/12/2420.abstract?sid=361d5fe0-1c0a-4174-a498-89724f8a92a8
Not on my list.

Milk Thistle / Silibinin
http://nccam.nih.gov/research/results/spotlight/071812?nav=gsa
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23243923
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23624536
This isn't good.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22899727
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22797645
Didn't do so well on this one.
http://www.cancerresearchuk.org/can...ancer-questions/milk-thistle-and-liver-cancer
Doesn't show references but, is a med site.
http://www.mskcc.org/cancer-care/herb/milk-thistle
This is a good sign but, I noticed the study said it was for 28 days and then they say the researchers saw a significant change at day 56 . . . something doesn't add up here.

Dandelion extract
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22424457
http://www.umm.edu/altmed/articles/dandelion-000236.htm
Has references but, gives an overall view that it hasn't been studied well.
They do mention that it may lower total cholesterol and triglycerides while
raising HDL, "good," cholesterol. My triglycerides are terrible so this one
is going on my list I think.

Burdock ( Arctium lappa L. )
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8874669
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22497441
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22296876
^^Bonus prize!^^

Natrium Sulphate ( Sodium sulfate )
http://www.mineraltherapyonline.com/content/view/15/28/
- Not the greatest info
Everything else I've read seems like Sodium sulfate would be a bad thing for us to take!

Methionine ( 2-amino-4-(methylthio)butanoic acid ) ( S-adenosyl-L-methionine (SAMe)
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23491928
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK36942/
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22683606
Not good but, also interesting study:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23454735

B-12
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/7445574
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22566245

http://oregonstate.edu/ua/ncs/archi...etter-others-protection-against-liver-disease
http://www.liverfoundation.org/downloads/alf_download_429.pdf
OK, this one is a bit of a look but, it does mention some interesting things about halfway through. A read only for the really interested lol

N-acetylcysteine
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3270338/
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23644946
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22534811
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21241423
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21239480

Vitamin E
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17628189
Hmmm....
http://www.bastyrcenter.org/content/view/788/
Not looking like it would be helpful to us for the liver protection/help.

Choline
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23493015
http://blog.cholesterol-and-health.com/2010/11/sweet-truth-about-liver-and-egg-yolks.html
Fantastic read!! With study links in the article!
http://lpi.oregonstate.edu/infocenter/othernuts/choline/
Great read and makes me think this is one to add!!
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22134222
WOW this is an important read in my book simply because they mention the awful E word . . . Estrogen!!

R + Alpha Lipoic Acid
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9607614
http://www.liversupport.com/wordpress/2009/07/helping-your-liver-with-alpha-r-lipoic-acid/
Good read with references to studies at the bottom!

Essentiale Forte ( polyenylphosphatidylcholine )
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Essentiale
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9314134
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21787467
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21391165
Ouch!
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17887948
Worth consideration IMO

MSM ( Methylsulfonylmethane )
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23595869
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23591777
http://rense.com/general48/alternativetreatment.htm
Another, grain of salt read but, some very interesting thoughts on many of the things we are looking for, MSM
being one of them.

Denosyl Veterinarian name ( med ) for S-Adenosylmethionine. Used for cats and dogs . . . I wonder if it would work on cattle . . . some of us love our cattle meds ;)

Ursodiol
http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/drug-information/DR601407
http://digestive.niddk.nih.gov/ddiseases/pubs/primarybiliarycirrhosis/
http://www.medicinenet.com/ursodiol/article.htm
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23592128
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23540499
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23450079
Not a great thing for us IMO

http://www.lef.org/protocols/gastrointestinal/non-alcoholic-fatty-liver-disease_02.htm
Grain of salt read. No studies specifically called out 8/

Thanks TexSon, I appreciate it! Looking forward to passing any other things I come across that I haven't found on TID. Which isn't such an easy task LOL

OK, found some more today and am adding them to the list.

Ayurvedic herbs - OK this is a strange one - Apparently, a group of India and Sri Lanka Herbs.
http://ayurvedicherbslist.com/
It looks as thought there are quite a few herbs that could fall under this title for Liver support or other "effects". Any product mentioning Ayurvedic should also say which herb is used. Such as the Post Cycle product calling out Pirkoliv. Which surprisingly isn't on the above list. Very strange!
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22529648
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22718675
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22830973
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23026306
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10391150

Pirkoliv (Ayurvedic herb) - this one is used in Post Cycle from Need to Build Muscle
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10391150
Posy Cycle also includes these: Milk Thistle (80%Silymarin), N-Acetyl Cysteine, Pirkoliv (Ayurvedic herb), R-ALA, Lecithin (containing Phosphatidyl Choline).
Which are all on the list. So, although they say Post Cycle it would seem that it might be good all the way through cycle. Since, they also mention in the product that there isn't a rebound from the T boosters and E inhibiters. The OTC AI things I think might be on my next research LOL Although, it seems almost a waste since presscription meds for PCT are so easy to get.

NAC is actually pretty damn good for the liver so at least you are getting some protection. NAC is very good at helping to increase glutathione levels (glutathione being a compound consisting of three amino acids, cysteine, glycine and glutamic acid). Out of these three it is the availability of cysteine that limits how much glutathione can be synthesised. In fact the most effective way of improving glutathione levels in the body is to try to consume more dietary cysteine which will improve glutathione conjugation, where roughly 50-60% of all toxins are neutralised during phase II of the livers' detoxification process (thus enabling harmful toxic compounds to not build up in the liver).

Aside from NAC being able to increase glutathione levels, it has significant antioxidant properties which should further enhance the liver protective qualities that it already has. If you were looking at adding anything else in specifically for the liver I would simply look at a good quality, high strength Milk Thistle (aka Silymarin); also worth bearing in mind that Milk Thistle also has anti-inflammatory properties due to it being able to inhibit leukotrienes, boost antioxidant enzyme systems and and eliminate specific toxins that have been shown to trigger inflammatory reactions.

Just my 2c MF.

I've only seen it online guys. Amazon has raw powder for the best deal if u don't mind capsulating. Let me see if I have a few links. These guys are who I used last order.
https://www.mrsupps.com/includes/Products/102/TUDCA/

My good friend has a blood clotting disorder and they had her on cumadin(sp?) and it was trashing her liver. I had her using thistle and nac and they didn't let her liver values get worse but they didn't help as much as I had hoped. I have her using Tudca now but she hasn't gotten her labs again yet that I know of. I'll ask her tomorrow now that I think of all this.

Here's a medical article about its use
http://www.journals.elsevierhealth.com/periodicals/cuthre/article/PIIS0011393X05806599/abstract

For more info just google search Tudca

Just a friendly recommendation here, but I would seriously consider looking into Aegis from Antaeus Labs. Highly recommended to run it with any orals you might be taking.

Its been growing in popularity over the last year in both the PH and AAS communities, and I personally love it. Dont hold that against the product though.
