I am getting baseline blood work tomorrow. If everything comes back okay, I will be starting Accutane. It is very possible that the doc may not like my blood work whereas I'm in the middle of my contest prep cycle. I have not had blood done since January so who knows. I thought I might document the process in this thread. In researching Accutane for myself there were such widely conflicting stories and self treatments with different dosages... I want to lay down the facts for everyone. What is it like for an adult on AAS to take prescribed Accutane? If all goes well, we'll find out soon. I will explain more about my particular problems with acne, in the future.

Wish me luck.

Good luck with it broski, it is a miracle drug when it comes to acne. I have had it prescribed as well as bought from overseas.
The Doc had me up to 60mg per day on my 3rd month but was wayyyyyyyyyy to dry and just felt awful.
So without the doc knowing I went back down to 40mg and saved the rest for a rainy day.

Now when running tren i use a maintenence dose of 20mg e3d. It has a relativly long half life and I do pretty damn good running it like that while on compounds that make me break out.

But def good luck and keep us updated on how it is working for you.

You don't need this at all for acne. You can simply use deodorant stone.

Be careful with that stuff. Like goof said, low doses work good....

Have you tried pantothenic acid (B5). 10 grams ed split really works or tetracycline 1000mg ed split. I have accutane but never used it because this other stuff worked for me...

For me that stuff was a godsend , I was at my wits end as a 20 something and had suffered severe acne from my early teens . I was prescribed this by a specialist in the late 80's and my acne had resisted every other solution I had tried including oral antibiotics and isotretinoin . I'm aware that further down the track horror stories have emerged but from my perspective I took the strongest available dose over three courses and experienced no sides what so ever, and ultimately wrestled my life back from what I saw as a curse that left me at times unable to leave the house and every morning dreading looking in the mirror each day for what new arrivals had emerged in my complexion . Its hard to explain the effect it has to someone who hasn't experienced actual acne , and I understand that people mean well by saying "just use X product " but "acne " is caused by overactive sebaceous glands elevated by ones hormone's so any topical product does little to treat the problem nor is acne related to hygiene or diet .

I used 20mg pd for 6 months straight and never looked back there is a low dosed study out there that was the protocol I used and I never had any issues other than dry lips.
Been golden ever since.

So after that treatment, will you have to use it again or does it stop acne from coming back permanently?

I have never had a breakout since then and it has been a few years I have ran many cycles since then but quite honestly I was on full time for like 3 years til last july when I came off.
I do have a friend that ran the same protocol as I using researchstops accutane (as I was also) and he got a small breakout and so ran another 2 months of accutane and has not had a problem since.
I was on cycle when I did mine and cannot say if it was hard on me internally as I had no bloodwork before and afters but I am still standing and have no zits..lol

Thanks mate , they say from every disaster something good comes , and this definitely prompted me to do my research regarding pharmaceutical products and introduced me to the ins and outs of physicians references .

I have heard good things about 20mg protocol. I am clear now but spending a lot of cash on B-5 and tetracycline so may run it next breakout...Thanks man..
