You were definitely built to deadlift with those long arms lol. Awesome work as always Chris.

3x bodyweight deadlift for a triple?

Nice work.

I've been after 3x for awhile, maybe in the next year if I can stay at this weight.

Solid. Might not have felt great, but you still made it look easy.

Lame week of training that ended with a somewhat high note as I think my deadlift is coming back again

SUNDAY
Squat 325x3 (ugly set, particularly the last two reps), 285x3 x4 sets
Double Pause CG Bench 152x5 x5 sets
Hexbar Deadlift 3plates per side x7; four more sets of 5

TUESDAY
Bench Press w/ Gym Pause 167x2, 175x2 x15 sets (undershot RPE)
Box Squat (above parallel) 342x3 (ugly af again), 312x3 x3 sets
BB OH Press 82x7, 82x5 x3 sets

THURSDAY
Deadlift 385x5, 375x5, 365x5 x2 sets
CG Floor Press 152x7, 152x5 x4 sets
Stiff Leg Deadlift (Hook Grip); 275x1, 315x1, 320x1 (lost grip)

Next week, I'm going to taper my lifting (between deload and normal intensities) on the main lifts, and then a couple-few weeks later, I'm going to experiment with a peaking program in which you do all three lifts in the same workout twice a week, and just squat/bench on a third day.

I did exactly what you're describing for my last meet. It worked well.

Should be an interesting experiment. You certainly can't beat specificity training, especially during meet prep.

Gangster SLDL, and congrats on th regular DL. Ridiculous.

Please mind your recovery with new program. At risk of sounding like yer mum just want you to not burn out.
