After several years and realizing that there was no way I could live on that kind of money, I decided to take on a professional job which led to a sever injury and to me stopping my training for quite a long time.  Now that I am recovered from my issues, I am trying to dedicate myself to the transition back to lifting.  It is going to be a long long road!!!</div>

Lets see, stats: Older than dirt, 5' 9.5...used to be over 5'10 but shrinking, lol. Currently 231 at about 11-12% bodyfat. Used to train abs too hard/heavy back when competing....did 13 shows (don't be too impressed, I only won 2:mad: ) so even though I have this well defined 4 pack, my belly still sticks out:) been training for 37 years.<br />

I am to old to be running tren, but every time someone on the boards talks about how strong they are, how much lean muscle they have gained while eating ice cream and chicken wings, I get the genius idea of trying tren again, and every time I do I am huffing and puffing just trying to do a set and generally feeling like $%#%. I then go, &quot;oh yeah, that's why I can't do tren.</div>

I have been working out for a few years. In November of 2011 I needed rotater cuff surgery and to have a few bone spurs removed. I wasn't able to lift for a year. I am beginning to get my shoulder back into shape. And doing a good job with it. So, any workout suggestions?</div>

I am a dude,  45 yrs old, married, 10 kids, living in Michigan, born again christian.   I used to work out quite regularly in College but once I started having kids and working full time I was just running and mountainbiking.  After 20 years, I started lifting again and it's been 4 years now.  I am pleased with my results and my body is responding well.  I've been told I have &quot;good genetics&quot; (other than being short).  I'm 5'6&quot; 176 lbs., 12-16% BF, (20% BS), my max barbell bench is 325, I haven't squatted or deadlifted heavy in a while due to low back/glute pain.<br />
<br />
I've never done a cycle of gear.  Haven't ruled it out but I would like to learn as much about it as I can.<br />
<br />
I've done some amature MMA fights locally, I was thinking of doing a bodybuilding contest but I've found it very difficult to cut the way a bodybuilder would need to because my wife is a great cook.<br />
<br />
I like shooting/hunting, sport bikes, moutain biking, triathons, drag racing, raising chickens, and way too much to list.<br />
<br />
My goal is to get in the best shape I can, not too big to do triathlons but strong enough to win in MMA matches and still look good on the beach.<br />
<br />
I have been known to ask stupid questions and annoy many with my opinions.    I apologize in advance.<br />

And until the past couple of months I've never been interested in gaining mass amounts of muscle from my workouts because I've always been concentrated on staying lean when it comes time to step on the scale for weigh ins. But since my recent knee injury that kept me from training I've been concentrating on bulking up as much as possible. I currently take no supplements other than your regular protein shake. I am currently 22yrs old and weigh 165lbs at 6'. Any sudjestions would be appreciated.</div>

When I was about 13 I saw a Charles Atlas ad for his training course and I new then I wanted to be like that. I asked my parents to buy it for me and they refused, said it was bad for me. I started exercising all the time, tons and tons of situps, pushups, chin-ups, and I even made some barbells from a pipe and bricks. I ate raw eggs by the dozens, ran 5 miles a day most days and continued exercising regularly until I got married at 19 and then I stopped. I didn't loose the dream but I damn sure lost sight of it... until I got divorced. At that time I had left the foothills of the Smokies and was living in CA where it's easy to find a gym. I hit the gym hard everyday, upper body one day, lower the next. Using only protein supplements I put 3&quot; in my chest in three months. Then I met a girl... That was in my late 20s. I've hit the gym a few short periods over the years but alas, age as taken it's toll. A few months ago I saw an ad with Dr. Life and a fire sparked. Holy shit I thought, if he can do that, I can do too. I'm 56 and unlike Dr. Life... I wanna be a monster!! I know it is going to take time due to my recovery time and I know that due to deterioration in my lower back that I am going to have limitations but I've seen my body respond well to the past month of maxing out on my bowflex. I started some research on certain peptides about a month ago and I'm already starting to observe small but positive indications of regeneration. I'm interested in adding some new gear into my research and I've been doing a lot of research lately. That's what brought me here. The real motivator is that I have lost all interest in sex. Guys, I used to be a machine! WTF happed to me? I went to my doc and explained I exhibit all the signs of lowT but the blood test showed I was in the mid 400s and he said I was in the normal range and couldn't do anything for me. He pissed me off. I looked into hormone replacement clinics, are they insane??? It cost HOW MUCH?? They pissed me off. I decided to do my own damn routine and as I researched I came to realize that I missed my dream. I still want to be a bodybuilder. Why settle for feeling a bit younger when I can feel and look IMPRESSIVE? I could use a mentor or just general guidance. I can read for weeks and still miss important information. I'm going to continue to work my bowflex for now but I've already outgrown it in some sets so I'll be getting a gym membership in a few weeks so I can continue to max out on my sets. It's good to be here and I hope to get to know some of you. BTW, I'm 56 years old, 5'9&quot; and holding at 193lbs. I don't know my body fat % but I prolly wouldn't want to say if I did. :D Thanks</div>
