RENSSELAER, NY - More than $1.8 million worth of steroids and other pharmaceuticals were seized and a Rensselaer couple was arrested in the largest steroids case in county history, Rensselaer County law enforcement officials said Monday.

A six-month investigation led to the March 1 arrest of Zachery Wilkins, 33, and Holly Fiato, 28, of 111 Washington Ave., Sheriff Jack Mahar said Monday. Wilkins and Fiato were released without bail on a charge of felony criminal possession of a controlled substance. The felony carries a sentence of up to 7 years in state prison.

District Attorney Richard McNally said the couple is cooperating with investigators. As middlemen for the steroids distribution, Wilkins and Fiato would receive the steroid doses and pills in the mail and forward them to another address as directed, McNally said. Based on information provided to investigators, the couple was provided with fake identification, including a Florida driver's license, and used post office boxes and local UPS drop-offs for moving the drugs, McNally said. It appears that the drug distribution has links to China, according to the district attorney.

Police seized 44,825 liquid doses of steroids and 289,550 pharmaceutical pills, according to the sheriff's office. Police also confiscated two shotguns and packaging materials.

The multi-agency investigation involved the sheriff's and district attorney's offices, the Rensselaer Police Department, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, the Drug Enforcement Administration and Homeland Security.

I've heard a lot of guys throughout the years talk about lagging body parts. Most everyone who has been around for even just a little time knows the effects that insulin can have on a bodybuilder that knows how to eat and train.

It's usually the wheels that are lagging on most. Of course it's not just limited to legs. I haven't tried this approach but it seems to me that using it for lagging body parts only would be of great assistance in helping to play catch up.

It could also be possible to help a powerlifter out on whatever number they feel they are behind on to raise their total number for a meet.

This could help before a BB show or PL meet.

Just a thought open for discussion if anyone is interested.

I'm just starting week 6 today and have 5,000 IU's of HCG on hand. I am going to dilute it with 10mL of BAC water so each ML is 500 IU's and pin it sub-q near belly button. I would like some advice and help as to when and how much i should start pinning the HCG as this is my first time using it?

Some guys have told me week 8-9 (500ius/week) and weeks 10-11 (1,000ius/week). Take week 12 off from everything and then start Clomid/Nolva on week 13-16. Does this sound right? or should i be starting now with low doses until week before i start PCT.

Steroids and hormones are flooding into Australia compared to a decade ago and detections of amphetamines and ecstasy at the border increased by more than 50 per cent in a year, the annual report card of drug seizures has found.

In total, the amount of illicit drugs seized – including cannabis, heroin and cocaine – was a record 23.8 tonnes, an increase of 154 per cent on the previous year. The street value of seizures was estimated at $1.5 billion.

Enforcement authorities believe the high Australian dollar and strong economy have made Australia a target market for drug exporters.

The rate of seizure of so-called "performance and image enhancing drugs" - which include anabolic steroids and peptides, which are playing a central role in the drugs in sport scandal - was up 57 per cent in a year.

Users of steroids, hormones and peptides – a category known as PIEDS – have virtually "direct and unlimited access" to a full range of products from around the world via online sales, the report found, with more than 91 per cent of detections in this category coming from parcel post.

The number of detections of performance enhancing drugs at Australia's border has increased from just more than 1000 in 2002-03 to nearly 9000 in 2011-12.

Mr Clare said the rapidly expanding market for PIEDS was evidence the drugs in sport investigation was not an overreaction, as some have claimed.

"When the [drugs in sport] report was released earlier this year we made the point that there had been something like a 200 per cent increase in the importation of some performance and image enhancing drugs," he said.

"Interestingly, in the last few months we have seen a drop in importations, which shows the impact of the release of that report only a few months ago."

The broader category of drugs that includes steroids and peptides was inflated by a massive 11 tonne seizure of hypophosphorous acid, used in the manufacture of methylamphetamine.

In 2011-12, there were 6126 steroid detections, a 35.4 per cent increase.

According to the 2010 National Drug Strategy Household Survey, only 0.1 per cent of the population aged 14 years or older reported the non-medical use of steroids.

But the Australian Needle and Syringe Program Survey indicates that while a relatively small proportion of respondents reported last injecting PIEDs, the prevalence has increased from 1 per cent in 2007 to 5 per cent in 2011.

Meanwhile, the number of arrests for amphetamine-type stimulants arrests increased by 18.1 per cent in 2011–12.

Amphetamines are now the second most widely used illicit drug after cannabis, surpassing the use of both cocaine and heroin globally.

Production and use of this category of drugs has exploded in east and south-east Asia. In 2011, half of the world's methylamphetamine seizures occurred in the region

Commissioner Negus said Australia is a target. "We have intelligence and we are being targeted in this country," he said.

"The relative height of the Australian dollar, the relative wealth of this country compared to others at the moment means we are a target.

The goal for that time was transformation. Wasn't lookin to put on any weight.

I quit drinking almost 2 years ago.
